Message from Br. Safi Khan
Director/Imam of Dar-us-Salaam Community
Beloved brothers and sisters.
Assalaamu “alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh.
May Allah reward all of you for coming last night. We are unimaginably grateful to Allah for making online pokies the evening a most special evening. The atmosphere was electric. People were inspired. Iman was in the air. Hearts were full of love. Many of us were left speechless as we witnessed the blessings of Allah raining upon us. Though our tongues were silent, our hearts shouted: Ya Allah. Thank You.
Our youth were great. The organizers and the volunteers were all admirable. The courageous staff who tended to the children”s programs were stellar. The venue was super. The food was delicious and healthy. The parking was effortless. Approximately 1700 servants of Allah answered the call last night. Just goes to show us how Allah blesses us when we all work together.
Your presence last night meant a lot. We thank all of you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to attend the dinner last night. Would you believe that brothers and sisters came from many faraway places. People came from Baltimore, Hagerstown, Frederick, Laurel, Bowie, Upper Marlboro, Columbia, Ashburn, Springfield, Woodbridge, Alexandria, Richmond, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington (state). Such a beautiful gathering shows us that when Allah brings the hearts closely together, there is no distance too far.
Again, thank you very much. May Allah continue to inspire all of us to work hard to secure the new property.
